So if that sounds a little funny, watch this next video you'll see what I'm talking about.Making settings in the Page Setup dialog box Ok up next, I'm going to show you how to add a title page and a blank page at the beginning of your document. Here's, and here's, and 3 and so forth and so on. We'll start on the first page, you can see here we've got our page numbers where we want them, in those outside margins. So we're going to do that, we're going to go to FILE, and then Print, and then over here you can see. Now whenever you're doing page number work or footer work, you want to check your work in the print preview area. We'll make this page number bigger, and we'll give it the 20 points that we did the other one.Īnd now we will move it over as well, we'll move it over about an edge–an inch away from the edge of the page. So we're going to scroll down, and we're going to insert our cursor in this Even Page Footer.Īnd we'll go over here to Page Number, Bottom of Page, and then, this first option's pretty good, okay? Okay, that looks pretty good, now we're just going to do the same for the next page. So I'm going to do that by moving this right indent marker over about an inch away from the page. So I'll change the point size to 20.Īnd now I'm going to move this page number over here. So first I'm going to make it bigger so that you can see it better. So we're going to choose this third one here because we want that page number to be over here, and what we'll do is move it a little bit here. Now we're going to head on over here and put in a Page Number.Īnd, we're going to click Bottom of Page, and these first few choices here aren't exactly what we need… but we're going to choose the closest one we want. We're going to go down here and we're going to double-click the footer area, okay? And the tricky little option that we need to choose here is Different Odd & Even Pages. So, let me show you how to do that, it's kind of tricky. Now we're going to set the page numbers for those margins.Īnd in this case, we want the page numbers for the left hand pages to be in the lower left corner of that outside margin.Īnd then, on the other side, we want to mirror that, so we want the page number to be here in the lower right corner of this outside margin. In the last video, we set mirrored margins.
